Electronic warfare (EW) threats faced by drones on the battlefield today include GNSS jamming and spoofing techniques. Effects of these threats include loss of control, navigation errors, and mission disruption. To address these challenges, Robotics Centre (RC) introduces SunStone™, an advanced countermeasure solution designed to protect the Teledyne FLIR SkyRanger™ R70 and R80D SkyRaider™ platforms.
SunStone™ incorporates leading GNSS Receiver and Antenna Technology to deliver unmatched constellation and frequency support for the SkyRanger/SkyRaider platforms. Additionally, SunStone™ offers a multi-antenna solution that includes antennas specifically chosen for their anti-jamming capabilities, featuring the latest in Fixed Radiation Pattern Antennas (FRPAs) and Controlled Radiation Pattern Antennas (CRPAs).
Designed as a plug-and-play accessory port payload for the SkyRanger/SkyRaider platforms, the SunStone™ solution enables operators to seamlessly upgrade their GNSS capabilities in response to the anticipated RF environment. This modular approach ensures that the system can adapt to the constantly evolving landscape of electronic warfare (EW) threats.
